Cosmos Ventures Launches $77.6 Million Debut Fund, Focused on Building New Institutions for the AI Era
Odaily reports that venture capital firm Cosmos Ventures has officially launched, co-founded by Brendan McCord and Matt Mandel, alongside the debut of a $77.6 million inaugural fund. The firm will focus on backing "philosopher-builders" who are creating new types of organizations and institutions for the AI era.
Cosmos Ventures has already invested in AIUC, Prime Intellect, Workshop Labs (acquired by Thinking Machines), and an undisclosed education company. The LP lineup for its debut fund includes Reid Hoffman, Joe Liemandt, Stand Together, Fred Wilson, Micky Malka, and Astera Institute.
