Ahead of the Fed's interest rate decision, U.S. Treasury yields rose across the board

Odaily News: U.S. Treasury yields rose across all maturities during Asian trading hours, after the 10-year Treasury yield on Monday rose above 5% for the first time since October 2023. Investors are awaiting the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision on Wednesday, and according to London Stock Exchange Group data, the market is pricing in a 93% probability of a 25 basis point rate hike.

ING rate strategists said in a report: "Logically, a rate hike should have calmed the long end, yet the long end is typically extremely volatile." According to Tradeweb data, the two-year Treasury yield rose 4.4 basis points to 4.676%, and the 10-year Treasury yield rose 6.2 basis points to 5.021%. (Jinshi)
