Fractal Bitcoin completes first halving and officially expands to the Bitcoin mainnet

Odaily News According to the latest tweet from Fractal Bitcoin, Fractal Bitcoin completed its first halving at block height 2,100,000, while the FIP-102 proposal was officially activated. According to the official announcement, network nodes and indexing services have been running smoothly after the halving. This upgrade marks the official activation of the FIP-102 proposal, with FB distribution expanding from the Fractal network to the Bitcoin mainnet, providing a broader base of Bitcoin users with a direct pathway to acquire FB.

Following the activation of FIP-102, the actual block reward on the Fractal side has been further reduced to 6.25 FB, while an additional 6.25 FB issuance budget will be redirected to the Bitcoin mainnet. FIP-102 does not increase the total supply of FB. On the Fractal side, merged mining, permissionless mining, and indexing mining continue to allocate block rewards on a 1:1:1 basis. The specific Bitcoin mainnet distribution mechanism will be clarified in the subsequent FIP-103 proposal, with the goal of completing the rollout by Q1 2027.
