Hunter Biden has recently been publicly expressing support for cryptocurrency and hinting at a possible run in the 2028 U.S. presidential election
Odaily News – Hunter Biden, son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, has recently been frequently expressing public support for cryptocurrency. In June of this year, Hunter Biden stated, "Decentralized digital currencies and blockchain are the inevitable future"; the same week, when asked about his views on cryptocurrency, he replied directly, "Hyperliquid." Additionally, he mentioned that when deciding to sell his artwork, he wanted each piece to be placed on-chain and accept Bitcoin payments, adding that Andreas Antonopoulos' book "The Internet of Money" had "opened his eyes."
Hunter Biden has re-emerged in the public eye this year, setting up an X account and a Substack, while frequently appearing on podcasts and news programs. Recently, he also discussed the possibility of running in the 2028 U.S. presidential election, saying he "hasn't made a decision yet" when asked if he might run for president; he had previously told billionaire John Catsimatidis that if he had his support, he might "have no choice but to run."
Forbes also noted that Hunter Biden was convicted in 2024 on three felony gun charges and pleaded guilty to separate tax-related criminal charges later that year, before receiving a full pardon ahead of Joe Biden's departure from office. (Forbes)
