In August, Lighter's open interest (OI) exceeded $1 billion, with trading volume reaching approximately $39.5 billion, and its global market share in perpetual contract trading volume continued to rise month-over-month. The independent trading platform built by Robinhood in partnership with Lighter also achieved significant growth in August, with total trading volume reaching approximately $5 billion and total accounts surpassing 21,000, generating approximately $500,000 in total trading fees for the month. Additionally, Lighter repurchased a total of 927,800 LIT tokens in August.
