World open-sources zero-knowledge identity proof toolkit ProveKit
Odaily News - World (formerly Worldcoin) announced the open-sourcing of its zero-knowledge identity proof toolkit, ProveKit. Previously available through early access within World ID, this toolkit allows users to generate cryptographic proofs directly on their phones or browsers without revealing personal data, with verifiers only receiving confirmation of specific claims. World stated that ProveKit employs local proof generation rather than delegated proving, meaning sensitive personal information never needs to be sent to external servers. ProveKit has been in development for approximately two years, supports the Noir language, and can run on standard consumer-grade hardware such as smartphones and browsers. It aims to achieve 128-bit post-quantum security and requires no trusted setup.
