RootData: Gate ranks first in TradFi asset count, with stock derivatives composite score ranking second in the industry
Odaily News According to the "2026 Crypto TradFi Landscape Report" released by RootData Research, as traditional financial assets accelerate their entry into the crypto market, TradFi is becoming a new growth battleground for leading trading platforms.
The report data shows that as of August 24, Gate's TradFi asset count reached 1,022, the highest among surveyed platforms and 4.2 times that of the runner-up; among them, stock derivatives instruments totaled 366, also ranking first. In terms of market share, Gate's cumulative trading volume from January to August reached $135.5 billion, with its August TradFi trading volume share rising to 10.7%, ranking third globally.
In the stock derivatives track, Gate achieved a composite score of 92.2, tying with OKX for second place; from August 1 to 24, Gate's average daily open interest reached $772 million, ranking third. The report also noted that Gate's average daily trading volume for stock contracts has maintained a high growth rate since May, with month-over-month increases of 124.1%, 187.3%, 323.7%, and 261.1% from May to August respectively, demonstrating strong growth momentum among the five surveyed platforms. Notably, Gate's liquidity performance has continued to improve, with its ±2% weighted depth exceeding Binance for 11 consecutive trading days since August 14, during which the average daily weighted depth reached $14.678 million.
RootData believes that the crypto TradFi market is shifting from unipolar concentration to multipolar competition, with platform rivalry extending from trading scale to dimensions such as asset coverage and liquidity. Gate continues to expand asset coverage, increase market share, and accelerate the construction of a one-stop multi-asset trading system.
