Team token lock-up period extended by 12 months, Aster postpones unlock of 400 million ASTER to September 2027

Odaily News, Aster announced on Platform X that the lock-up period for the team allocation will be extended by 12 months, moving from September 17, 2026 to September 17, 2027. The team allocation is 400 million ASTER, accounting for 5% of the maximum supply. Under the original schedule, 10 million ASTER were to be unlocked monthly starting September 17, 2026. This allocation has remained fully locked since TGE and will continue to remain locked until September 17, 2027.

This adjustment does not affect Aster's buyback and burn mechanism. For every 1 ASTER repurchased, an equivalent amount of ASTER will continue to be burned from the reserve, with priority given to burning from the team allocation.
