Difficult to Change the Long-Term Trend; Bitcoin Faces Pressure Despite Holding $80,000 After Strategy Resumes Buying

2026-09-01 08:08

Odaily News Greeks.live posted on X, stating that on September 1st, if Strategy resumes buying Bitcoin in the short term, it will only provide short-term stimulation and will be difficult to change the long-term trend. After Strategy has achieved floating profits, it has more room to increase its holdings. However, from a longer-term perspective, Bitcoin ETFs are still experiencing overall capital outflows, and it remains relatively difficult for Bitcoin to firmly hold the $80,000 level. The market faces significant selling pressure. Currently, there is no single participant in the Bitcoin market capable of manipulating or accurately predicting trends. On the macro front, the Federal Reserve's hawkish statements and the escalation of U.S.-Iran conflicts are further testing investor sentiment.

Additionally, Bitcoin's short-term volatility is declining rapidly, and a single bullish candlestick alone is insufficient to sustain a bull market continuation. If it can rise back above $85,000 after a slight pullback, the market structure may improve; otherwise, arbitrageurs and sellers could bring substantial selling pressure. As month-end Gamma exposure (GEX) is accumulating, the market still needs further upward momentum to sustain the trend.
