CZ: Bitcoin Will Surpass Gold's Market Cap in the Next Bull Run
Odaily reported that Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said in August 2025 that Bitcoin's price could reach $1 million by 2030; a year later, after a price decline of about 30%, he revised his forecast down to $300,000-$400,000.
Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said in October 2025 that Bitcoin would surpass gold, but did not provide a timeline. This week, after Bitcoin rose 27% in two weeks, he stated that Bitcoin will surpass gold's market cap in the next bull run, adding that the $1 million target will be achieved earlier than 2025.
CZ previously remarked in November 2022, when Bitcoin was near $16,000, that it was not dead, and predicted in 2023 that a bull market would occur in 2025; his 2026 supercycle call later did not materialize. Armstrong said this month that it is highly likely Bitcoin will reach $100,000 by the end of this year. (Bitcoin.com News)
