Pre-market US Stock News Roundup: Amazon to Purchase Additional 2 Million Nvidia GPUs

Odaily News: Ahead of the US stock market open, here are the key market and financial news investors need to watch:

1. The three major US stock index futures are showing mixed trends. Dow Jones futures fell 0.11%, S&P 500 futures rose 0.39%, and Nasdaq 100 futures gained 1.02%.

2. International oil prices edged slightly higher. WTI crude oil futures rose 0.18% to $82.381 per barrel; Brent crude oil futures gained 0.32% to $87.217 per barrel.

3. International spot gold and silver traded in a narrow range. Spot gold prices slipped 0.01% to $4,594.00 per ounce; spot silver prices rose 0.34% to $68.33 per ounce.

4. Europe's three major indices were mixed. The UK's FTSE 100 fell 0.43%, France's CAC40 dropped 1.01%, and Germany's DAX30 gained 0.27%.

5. Nvidia is accelerating its layout across the full AI ecosystem chain, reportedly acquiring open-source AI model collaboration platform Hugging Face for $12.9 billion.

6. Amazon announced plans to deploy an additional 2 million Nvidia GPUs across its Amazon Web Services (AWS) global infrastructure between 2027 and 2028. The chips involved in this latest deal include Blackwell Ultra, Rubin, and Rubin Ultra graphics cards.

7. Qualcomm is teaming up with Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and TSMC to advance the commercialization of HBC (High Bandwidth Computing) chips, with the first-generation products expected to ship next year.

8. Kioxia and SanDisk plan to invest over 5 trillion yen ($31.4 billion) to boost production capacity in Japan, aiming to increase output of the latest high-density 3D NAND flash memory chips currently in short supply.

9. The NASA Administrator suggested establishing space data centers, saying they could be powered by solar energy to help alleviate US electricity shortages without competing with communities for land.
