Alkemya Metacore Plans to Raise $50 Million Through Tokenization to Advance Tokenized Nickel Trading Business
Odaily News: Alkemya Metacore is preparing to issue a new security, ALKN, linked to its inventory of high-purity nickel wire, with plans to raise $50 million through tokenization. The related inventory is valued at $1.6 billion, approximately 7 million meters, and is currently stored in Switzerland. The nickel wire is primarily used in semiconductors, aerospace, and defense sectors. The raised funds will be used to support its operating subsidiary, Green Transitional Metals, in the research, development, and commercialization of nickel products in areas such as electromagnetic shielding, aerospace and defense, semiconductors, power industry systems, green hydrogen, and precious metal recycling. Bitfinex Securities will facilitate the listing of ALKN, with the initial subscription for qualified investors open until October 15. This product is described as one of the world's first tokenized nickel products and the first tokenized commodity issuance under El Salvador's digital asset regulatory framework.
