CZ: Bitcoin Will Become More Important Than Gold in the Future, Major Powers Need Time to Shift

Odaily News, CZ stated at the Bitcoin Asia 2026 conference:

"I believe Bitcoin will definitely become more important than gold. Yes, I think we have to understand today that it takes many years for major powers to make changes. Today, they already have a mechanism for valuing and holding gold—an entire system that already exists. It will take some time for them to shift toward Bitcoin or digital assets, but this will definitely happen. Bitcoin itself is a far better asset than gold.

I think there is a very small possibility—that something better than Bitcoin will replace it, such as another cryptocurrency growing faster than Bitcoin and surpassing it before Bitcoin surpasses gold. Based on everything we have seen today, the probability of that happening is quite small. I believe Bitcoin will surpass gold very soon. Right now, there's only about a 10x gap between them, so who knows—maybe it will happen in the next bull run."
