OpenAI to Launch Second Venture Fund, Having Raised $400 Million

Odaily Planet Daily News: According to a disclosure filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, OpenAI is launching its second venture fund, which has already raised $400 million, with all capital coming from OpenAI's own balance sheet.

OpenAI launched its first venture fund in 2021, raising $175 million, which included investments from external investors such as Microsoft at the time. Compared with the first fund, OpenAI will now use entirely its own capital for investments this time. (The Wall Street Journal)
