World Liberty Financial Responds to Conflict-of-Interest Concerns: Never Discussed Business Matters with Trump

2026-08-25 14:43

Odaily News - Zach Witkoff, CEO of the Trump family-affiliated crypto project World Liberty Financial (WLF), stated that the market performance and real-world usage of the USD1 stablecoin prove that the project does not face the conflict-of-interest issues raised by outsiders.

In an interview with CNBC, Zach Witkoff said that USD1's circulation has surpassed $4 billion, with trading volume exceeding $1 billion in the past 24 hours. "Real user adoption and liquidity demonstrate the genuine demand for USD1." In response to concerns that corporations or nations could use USD1 to funnel money to Trump and his family, Zach Witkoff dismissed such worries as overstated, emphasizing that he has never discussed business matters with President Trump and never will. He noted that his current focus is on enhancing the actual value of WLF products for users. Stablecoins are becoming the native payment layer of the internet, and "the dollar should also flow 24/7." He believes USD1 will play a significant role in the development of digital financial infrastructure. Meanwhile, World Liberty Financial continues to face ongoing scrutiny from some U.S. politicians regarding its overseas investments, political affiliations, and commercial arrangements. (CNBC)
