美国银行牌照申请难度降至近20年最低，Donald Trump家族旗下World Liberty Financial获初步批准

Odaily News – Donald Trump’s family and their business partners have received preliminary approval to establish a bank. Data from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) shows that in the 19 months before Donald Trump’s second term, the OCC approved 22 bank charter applications, exceeding the total number approved in the previous five years. Currently, the difficulty of applying for a U.S. national bank charter has fallen to its lowest level in nearly 20 years, with some approved institutions coming from the fintech and digital asset sectors. OCC head Jonathan Gould stated that the goal is to respond to each application within 120 days.



World Liberty Financial, under the Trump family, stablecoin issuer Circle, consumer bank Nu Holdings Ltd., and cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global Inc. have all joined the ranks of new bank applicants. World Liberty Financial previously stated that establishing a bank would allow it to hold assets backing the USD1 stablecoin, thereby reducing related costs. Donald Trump will become the first U.S. president whose children founded a bank during his tenure.
