According to sources familiar with the matter, the open-source AI platform Hugging Face is exploring the possibility of a sale, with a potential deal valuation of $13 billion or higher. The company is currently working with a bank to assess interest from potential buyers.

Hugging Face was valued at approximately $4.5 billion during its funding round in 2023, with participation from investors including Salesforce, Google, and Nvidia.
