Cathie Wood: Many analysts still can't understand Circle, but it's technology—not analysis—that disrupts the traditional order

2026-08-24 01:21

Odaily News: Cathie Wood recently posted on X discussing the comparison between CRCL and Visa and Mastercard, stating: "Despite CRCL (Circle) rising 84% since its IPO, this one-year chart fully reflects the short-term inefficiency of public equity markets. Many financial services analysts have built their professional reputations by tracking V (Visa) and MA (Mastercard) over the long term, which is why they cannot understand Circle as a disruptor. Since MA and V went public in 2006 and 2008 respectively, both have risen approximately 150-fold and 33-fold, making those analysts who recommended buying on dips back then extremely profitable. However, today, it is the underlying technology—not the playbook these analysts follow—that is disrupting the traditional world order. CRCL should be a core beneficiary of this transformation."
