Holding over $330 Million in Bitcoin, Zondacrypto's Two Consecutive CEOs Have Gone Missing and Parent Company's License Has Been Revoked
Odaily News: In March 2022, Sylwester Suszek, the founder of Polish crypto exchange Zondacrypto, formerly known as BitBay, went missing. Prior to his disappearance, Suszek had left a voice message expressing despair to his sister, and his family suspects he may have been killed. Przemyslaw Kral, the lawyer who took over management of the company after Suszek, has also been unreachable for four months. Kral had previously released a video reassuring clients that the company held over $330 million worth of Bitcoin, but the only person holding the unlock keys was the missing Suszek. The exchange's website was shut down around April, and approximately two months later, Estonia's Financial Intelligence Unit revoked the license of its parent company on June 29.
