Odaily Planet Daily News Grayscale released a research report on Zcash, stating that as AI development brings new means of financial surveillance, Zcash's privacy features could become an essential function in the AI era. Zcash uses zero-knowledge proofs to shield transactions, hiding the sender, receiver, and amount, providing privacy attributes similar to cash. Currently, shielded transactions account for approximately 90% of Zcash's transaction volume, and the shielded supply is approximately 4.2 million ZEC, representing 25% of the circulating supply. Grayscale noted that Zcash has a market capitalization of approximately $8 billion, accounting for only 0.6% of the $1.4 trillion total market cap of the "monetary crypto assets" sector it classifies. If this sector's share reaches 5%, the value of ZEC would increase to 9 times its current level.
