美国货币监理署署长:GENIUS法案实施细则最终规则将于11月发布
Odaily News: Jonathan Gould, head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), stated at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium that the OCC will release the final rules for implementing the payment stablecoin act in November. The agency will finalize the rulemaking based on industry feedback on the February proposal.
In February, the OCC issued a 376-page proposal and solicited public comments to implement the "Guiding and Establishing the U.S. Stablecoin National Innovation Act" (GENIUS Act). The act was signed into law in July 2025 and is scheduled to take effect in January 2027.
Gould said the OCC expects to begin processing applications from stablecoin issuers starting in 2027. Other agencies, including the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and the Federal Reserve Board, are also required to complete relevant regulatory rules before the act takes effect.
