Odaily News: The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the National Financial Regulatory Administration's announcement today that it will actively support the participation of mainland insurance funds in the connectivity between the mainland and Hong Kong financial markets, and support mainland insurance institutions in investing in Hong Kong-listed Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) through the Shanghai-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect. This policy will further enrich the options for mainland insurance institutions to allocate overseas assets via Hong Kong, reflecting the Financial Regulatory Administration's support for continuously deepening the financial connectivity between the mainland and Hong Kong.

Dr. Huang Tianyou (Huang Tianyou), Chairman of the SFC, stated: "We sincerely thank the Financial Regulatory Administration for its long-standing firm support for the development of Hong Kong's capital market and the financial connectivity between the mainland and Hong Kong. This new policy broadens the diversified channels for mainland insurance funds to allocate overseas assets, demonstrating the nation's determination to deepen high-level financial opening-up, as well as the central government's support for continuously strengthening financial cooperation between the two regions.
