Iranian Parliament Speaker: Hormuz Strait Will Not Reopen Until Conditions Are Met

Odaily News – On the 18th local time, Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen until the United States unfreezes Iranian assets, lifts oil sanctions, ceases military threats and actions on all fronts, and fulfills other conditions of the memorandum of understanding. Ghalibaf noted that the opportunities presented by the memorandum in lifting blockades and achieving a ceasefire will help enhance Iran's economic resilience and rebuild its defense capabilities.
