European stock markets opened mostly higher on Monday, with technology and pharmaceutical stocks gaining strength

Odaily News – European stocks were mostly higher on Monday, following a week in which most major indices closed lower, although Germany's DAX index set a new record high. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose 0.2%, led by gains in technology and pharmaceutical stocks. SpaceX supplier STMicroelectronics gained 3%, while ASML and its smaller competitor ASM International rose 2.35% and 2.7%, respectively. Dutch pharmaceutical company Argenx led the gains, up approximately 7.7%, after reporting positive clinical trial results. Germany's DAX index and the UK's FTSE 100 index rose 0.02% and 0.3%, respectively, while France's CAC 40 index slipped 0.1%. (Jin Shi)
