Odaily News: The Arizona Attorney General's Office, led by Kris Mayes, has helped 35 cryptocurrency ATM scam victims receive full refunds totaling $171,332. The funds were related to scam-induced transactions, and the refunds cover all fees. Under Arizona law, only new customers who have been customers of an ATM operator for less than 10 days are eligible for mandatory full refunds. Victims must contact the operator, law enforcement, or the Attorney General's Office within 30 days of the transaction date and submit an official report confirming the scam inducement. FBI data shows that in 2025, Arizona saw 460 complaints involving cryptocurrency kiosks, with adjusted losses of $14.53 million; nationwide, related complaints reached 13,460, with adjusted losses exceeding $388.98 million, of which individuals aged 50 and above lost more than $302 million.
