In global stock indices, the Euro Stoxx 50 (EUSTX50) rose 0.14% on the day to 6,543.47 points; the UK FTSE 100 (UK100) rose 0.11% on the day to 10,827.1 points; and the German DAX40 (GER40) rose 0.04% on the day to 26,379.3 points.
