OpenAI Launches Linux Desktop App Preview for ChatGPT, Supporting ChatGPT, Work, and Codex

Initial support includes Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04 LTS, Debian 13, and Fedora 43 and 44. OpenAI stated that Linux has consistently been one of the most requested desktop platforms by users, and with this release, ChatGPT and Codex now cover all major desktop operating systems.
