data center operator DayOne confidentially files US IPO application, plans to raise $5 billion

2026-08-11 11:39

Odaily News: Singapore-based data center operator DayOne has confidentially filed an initial public offering (IPO) application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), planning to go public in the U.S. as early as next quarter. The company intends to raise approximately $5 billion, with a listing valuation of around $20 billion. However, details are still under discussion, and the offering size and timing may change.

Founded in 2022, DayOne has secured data center capacity orders exceeding 1.5GW across the Asia-Pacific and European markets. In June this year, the company completed a $4.5 billion Series C funding round, led by its largest shareholder Coatue Management and Hillhouse, with other investors reportedly including GDS, SoftBank Vision Fund, and capital from Citadel founder Ken Griffin. If the listing succeeds, it would become another major data center IPO amid the recent AI infrastructure investment boom. (Bloomberg)
