White House: Negotiations to Continue, Pushing for CLARITY Act Vote in September

Odaily News, Patrick Witt, Executive Director of the President's Council of Advisors for Digital Assets, stated that the Trump administration will continue negotiations with Democrats until the Senate holds a vote on the CLARITY Act in September, but cannot wait indefinitely.
The Senate is expected to hold a cloture vote on the bill in mid-September, a procedure that requires 60 votes for the bill to advance to a final vote.
The CLARITY Act aims to establish a federal market structure for digital assets, clarify the conditions under which crypto tokens are subject to securities or commodities regulations, and regulate trading platforms. Disputes remain unresolved regarding stricter ethics provisions tied to Trump-associated crypto interests, as well as rules that would allow companies to pay rewards to stablecoin holders.
