The broader crypto market is pulling back, with the NFT sector dropping over 25%, while only the Layer 2 and DeFi sectors remain relatively resilient
Odaily News, August 11: According to SoSoValue data, the cryptocurrency market sectors have broadly pulled back. The NFT sector fell 25.62% in 24 hours, with Audiera (BEAT) plunging 55.02%. Bitcoin (BTC) dropped 1.85%, falling below $65,000, and Ethereum (ETH) fell 2.44%, dipping below $1,900.
Only the DeFi and Layer 2 sectors remained relatively firm, rising 1.11% and 2.01%, respectively. Within DeFi, Hyperliquid (HYPE) gained 1.76% and Ethena (ENA) rose 3.56%. Within Layer 2, Arbitrum (ARB) was up 3.44% and Mantle (MNT) increased 5.48%.
In other sectors, Layer 1 fell 0.54%, with Cardano (ADA) down 3.19%; CeFi fell 0.63%, although Bitget Token (BGB) rose 1.65%; PayFi declined 1.53%, with Telcoin (TEL) dropping 6.77%; and the Meme sector decreased 1.98%, while Pump.fun (PUMP) bucked the trend with a 4.74% gain.
According to the crypto sector indices tracking historical performance, the ssiLayer2, ssiDeFi, and ssiGameFi indices rose 2.43%, 1.22%, and 0.07%, respectively.
