Serenity: Riot and Anthropic Reach $9.1 Billion AI Infrastructure Deal, Mining Firms Approach Revenue Inflection Point
Odaily News "White-Haired Stock Guru" Serenity (@aleabiteditored) stated that Riot Platforms (RIOT) has announced a $9.1 billion cooperation agreement with AI company Anthropic, with the contract term potentially extending to 20 years and a total value of up to $16.1 billion.
Serenity noted that AMD has also exercised its option to expand its existing cooperation agreement with Riot. Additionally, Riot still holds a letter of intent from a tenant for another 1 GW data center campus.
She stated that, from a timeline perspective, the revenue inflection point for most AI data center colocation companies is likely to emerge in the second half of 2027. For example, Riot's cooperation with Anthropic is slated to activate the first 96 MW of computing capacity in December 2027, while AMD's 50 MW expansion plan is expected to be completed by May 2027.
Serenity believes that traditional Bitcoin mining companies, including IREN, are completing their transformation into AI infrastructure firms and are progressively entering a new phase of growth.
