Odaily Planet Daily News: The Supreme Court of South Korea has proposed amendments to the Civil Execution Rules that would establish standardized procedures allowing creditors to freeze, identify, and liquidate debtors' virtual assets. Courts may require exchanges to disclose the types and quantities of crypto assets held by debtors within seven days of receiving the order, and to freeze the corresponding assets. The proposal's public comment period ends on August 11, with an expected effective date of October 1. Once assets are identified and frozen, courts may designate them for distribution to creditors or order liquidation, with virtual asset service providers executing the sale.
