15亿美元被盗案,Bybit起诉朝鲜及其侦察总局、Lazarus Group,法院批准冻结已识别被盗资产

Odaily News: Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has filed a civil lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia against North Korea, the Reconnaissance General Bureau, and the hacker group Lazarus Group, in connection with the approximately $1.5 billion theft that occurred in February 2025.

Bybit stated that the judge has approved a preliminary injunction prohibiting the transfer or disposal of identified stolen assets during the proceedings, and found that Bybit is likely to succeed on the merits of the case. The lawsuit also names unknown individuals and entities holding or transferring related funds as John Doe defendants.

Bybit disclosed that approximately $48.4 million has been recovered, and approximately $30.5 million has been frozen across more than 28 exchanges and custodial institutions, together accounting for about 5% of the stolen amount.

In February 2025, attackers transferred approximately 500,000 ETH from Bybit's cold wallet, with most of the funds subsequently converted into Bitcoin via Thorchain and moved through mixing services. Bybit stated that the case is proceeding in parallel with criminal investigations. (Decrypt)
