Odaily News: According to an institutional survey, South Korea's economic growth forecast for this year is expected to accelerate further, driven by strong global demand for semiconductors. The survey shows that the economists surveyed expect the South Korean economy to grow by 3.3% in 2026, significantly higher than the 2.8% forecast in the July survey. Respondents also slightly raised their growth expectations for the coming years, projecting 2.3% growth in 2027 and 2.1% in 2028. As the AI boom fuels economic growth, economists and policymakers are continuously adjusting their forecasts to keep pace with actual growth. The survey's 2026 growth projection is higher than that of the South Korean government. (Jinshi)
