Goldman Sachs: Global AI Investment to Surpass $1 Trillion This Year, with US Investment Nearing $600 Billion

Odaily News – Recently, Goldman Sachs analysts released a report forecasting that global AI investment will exceed $1 trillion by the end of 2026, with US AI investment expected to approach $600 billion. Based on its preferred estimates for AI investment, Goldman Sachs Research has extrapolated the share of US GDP that AI investment will account for by 2028. According to Goldman Sachs' estimates, US AI capital expenditure as a share of GDP will rise from 1.8% in 2026 to 2.5% in 2027, and further to 2.8% in 2028. Meanwhile, global AI investment as a share of global GDP is projected to increase annually from 2026 to 2028, reaching 0.9%, 1.3%, and 1.4%, respectively.
