Murch Proposes Removal of Luke Dashjr as BIP Editor

Odaily Odaily News: Bitcoin Core developer Murch has proposed on the X platform to remove Luke Dashjr from the position of BIP editor. Murch stated that Luke Dashjr was involved in BIP-110 and accused him of inconsistently exercising editorial authority, including assigning a BIP number to the proposal ahead of schedule, as well as rapidly merging updates despite his limited contributions to BIP editor work in recent years. Murch also noted issues regarding "trust, communication, and coordination" between Luke Dashjr and other BIP editors, and argued that his support for controversial soft forks that could potentially evolve into hard forks represents a "complete departure from the Bitcoin development ecosystem."
