Odaily Planet Daily News Bitcoin News posted on the X platform stating that Bitcoin developer Luke Dashjr suggested September 1 as a potential target date for the BIP-110 proof-of-work change hard fork, noting that the change should take place when BIP-110 "should have been activated." Dathon Ohm, author of BIP-110, stated that the community is currently developing a proposal to modify Bitcoin's proof-of-work algorithm and plans to "phase out miners," while accusing large mining pools of jointly opposing the BIP-110 initiative. When asked how the network would remain secure after existing miners exit, Dathon Ohm responded: "We will hire new miners."
