Robinhood Announces Lowering Gas Subsidy Threshold on Robinhood Chain to $0.5

Odaily Planet Daily reported that Robinhood announced on the X platform that it will lower the Gas fee subsidy threshold for Robinhood Wallet on Robinhood Chain from $5 to $0.5, a reduction of up to 90%, further reducing users' on-chain transaction costs. Robinhood stated that after this adjustment, more users' Swap transactions will be eligible for Gas fee subsidies, which will continue until September 29.

It is understood that Robinhood Wallet had previously covered part of users' on-chain transaction fees through the Gas Sponsorship mechanism. This lowering of the subsidy threshold aims to boost activity in the Robinhood Chain ecosystem and lower the barrier for users to participate in on-chain transactions.
