Odaily reported that Vitalik posted on the X platform stating that Minimax H3 is the first open video model he has seen that outperforms HunyuanVideo 1.5. The fact that Tencent Hunyuan has been able to maintain its lead for such a long time is itself an impressive achievement. He noted that previously, frontier models in image and video generation seemed more closed off than frontier models in text LLMs, and H3 represents a strong step back toward openness.
