Gatecast Dialogue with Ondo Finance Min Lin: Unpacking RWA Breakthroughs and New Opportunities in Tokenized Assets
According to Odaily, in the fourth episode of Gate's podcast series Gatecast, Min Lin, Global Head of Business Development at Ondo Finance, appeared as a guest and shared insights in an interview themed "What Will Be the Breakthrough in RWA?" Covering tokenized assets, institutional adoption, and the evolution of on-chain financial infrastructure, Min Lin stated that traditional finance is accelerating its embrace of blockchain. A few years ago, Bitcoin and tokenized assets still faced widespread skepticism, yet today, numerous top global financial institutions have begun actively exploring pathways to bring assets on-chain. He believes that the shift from TradFi to crypto finance is not merely about the digitalization of asset forms, but more fundamentally about the shared ledger, instant settlement, and greater transparency enabled by blockchain. These capabilities are expected to enhance the efficiency of global financial markets and drive the financial system toward greater openness and inclusivity.
During the program, Min Lin also introduced Ondo's OUSG, designed for institutional users, and USDY, aimed at a broader user base, emphasizing that the product design aims to deliver on-chain yields to users in a more transparent manner. Discussing the next phase of RWA growth, he highlighted the immense potential of tokenized equities and ETFs, noting that the U.S. stock market alone is valued at approximately $69 trillion. By connecting to deep TradFi liquidity through instant minting and redemption models, the global accessibility of tokenized assets could be further expanded. As a deep-dialogue program launched by Gate for global Web3 users, Gatecast will continue to invite industry leaders to share cutting-edge insights. Meanwhile, Gate will keep focusing on innovative directions such as RWA and tokenized assets, fostering more efficient connections between traditional finance and the crypto ecosystem, and providing global users with more open and convenient digital asset services.
