Ether.fi adjusts weETH to a standard Ethereum staking token, moving restaking to weETHs

Odaily星球日报讯 Ether.fi has removed the restaking feature from its main token weETH, making it a standard Ethereum staking token, and has transferred the restaking function to the new token weETHs.

Following the adjustment, users can choose to earn standard staking rewards through weETH or gain exposure to higher-yield, higher-risk restaking through weETHs. This change comes as Ethereum researchers have proposed a plan to reduce staking rewards to zero once staking participation exceeds a certain threshold, and the founder of Ether.fi has stated that the proposal would impact small stakers and staking-based products.
