Odaily News: According to an announcement from Thailand's Ministry of Finance, the country will exempt cryptocurrency trading from capital gains tax for a five-year period, running from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2029. The policy applies only to transactions conducted through exchanges, brokers, or dealers licensed by Thailand's SEC. The Ministry of Finance estimates that this measure could generate approximately $1 billion in tax revenue annually. Other crypto-related income, such as mining and staking, remains subject to taxation.
