特朗普签署公告，对多晶硅衍生品征收15%关税

Odaily reported that U.S. President Trump signed a proclamation on August 6 local time, imposing a 15% tariff on imports of polysilicon derivatives, a core semiconductor raw material, to address threats to U.S. national security posed by related imports.

The proclamation sets a minimum import price of $21 per kilogram for polysilicon and $100 per kilogram for polysilicon ingots and wafers. The measure will take effect at 12:01 a.m. EST on December 4.

The U.S. Department of Commerce launched a Section 232 investigation under the Trade Expansion Act regarding polysilicon in July last year. Trump stated that polysilicon is a foundational material supporting the security of U.S. semiconductor and solar power supply chains, and that the measure is intended to rebuild the U.S. polysilicon industry.
