Odaily Planet Daily News: Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress, political action committees affiliated with Fairshake, which is backed by cryptocurrency companies, have disclosed spending more than $1.5 million combined ahead of the August 18 primaries to support House and Senate candidates in Florida, Alaska, and Wyoming.

Federal Election Commission filings show that Defend American Jobs spent over $500,000 in Alaska's single congressional district to support Rep. Nick Begich's re-election; the Super PAC also invested a similar amount in Florida's 16th District Republican candidate Sydney Gruters and Wyoming Senate seat candidate Harriet Hageman.

Protect Progress disclosed spending over $50,000 in Florida's 23rd District to support Lois Frankel's re-election. Frankel, Begich, and Hageman have all voted in favor of the GENIUS Act and the CLARITY Act during their congressional terms.

These expenditures come after the primary defeat of a candidate in Michigan's 13th Congressional District supported by Protect Progress. The Super PAC had previously invested more than $2 million to support incumbent Democratic Rep. Shri Thanedar, who lost the primary to state Rep. Donavan McKinney.
