Goldman Sachs Significantly Raises AI Server PCB and CCL Forecasts, with Market Size Expected to Reach $84 Billion and $48 Billion by 2028

Odaily News: In its latest global printed circuit board (PCB) and copper clad laminate (CCL) industry report, Goldman Sachs has significantly raised its market size forecasts for AI server-related products. The bank projects that the global AI server PCB market will reach $37.5 billion by 2027, up 38% from its previous forecast, and further grow to $84 billion by 2028. The CCL market is expected to reach $22.1 billion by 2027, up 18%, with potential growth to $48 billion by 2028. This implies that from 2026 to 2028, the compound annual growth rate for AI server PCB and CCL markets will reach 148% and 161%, respectively.

Unlike traditional server cycles, this wave of growth is driven not only by increased server shipments but also by multiple factors, including higher PCB layer counts, greater penetration of advanced HDI (high-density interconnect) technology, upgrades in CCL materials, and increased PCB usage within entire server racks.
