存储芯片大消息,苹果压价失败

2026-08-05 09:04

Odaily News: According to a report by South Korean IT media outlet DigitalDaily, citing industry insiders, Apple had previously considered bringing China's ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) into its new supply chain to reduce costs, but has now encountered resistance in negotiations to further lower procurement prices. In an effort to ease manufacturing cost pressures for the next-generation iPhone and other smart devices, Apple recently held talks with CXMT over supply prices for mobile DRAM such as LPDDR5X, but its demands for price cuts were rejected.

It is understood that the prices CXMT insists on are even higher than those of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, or at least on par with them. The core reason CXMT dared to decisively refuse Apple's price reduction demands is that Chinese tech giants such as Huawei and Xiaomi are currently engaging in large-scale stockpiling. Under these circumstances, CXMT sees no need to proactively lower prices and reduce profits to accommodate Apple's stringent quality certification requirements and pricing demands. Some analysts believe that robust demand in the Chinese domestic market provides strong pricing support for CXMT. (China Securities Journal)
