FTX后再度谈及AI泡沫：1confirmation创始人称“聪明钱”正在重复同样错误

Odaily Planet Daily News: 1confirmation founder Nick Tomaino commented on the crisis involving AI investment fund Situational Awareness, stating that recent discussions surrounding the fund reflect a long-standing issue in the investment community: many so-called "elites" and "smart money" lack basic risk judgment capabilities.

Tomaino stated that he is not familiar with all the details of this incident and does not wish to comment on the specific liquidation process, but he believes there is a deeper issue at play: many investors are driven by wealth and attention, gradually ignoring facts, risks, and their judgment of others. Citing the FTX collapse as an example, he noted that many people could detect red flags after brief contact with the founder, yet a large number of "smart money" investors chose to continue investing and endorsing the project in pursuit of returns and market narratives.

Tomaino pointed out that a similar phenomenon has emerged with the founder of Situational Awareness and the investment circle supporting the fund: the same type of investors chase grand narratives, provide capital, and drive publicity, but ultimately the fund found itself in trouble due to high-risk bets and market reversals. He urged industry participants to learn from this lesson and avoid repeating the cycle of "chasing hotspots—ignoring risks—collectively stepping into pitfalls."
