Bithumb announces IPO plan, targeting listing completion by 2028
Odaily Planet Daily News According to an official announcement from Bithumb, the Korean cryptocurrency exchange has formally unveiled its IPO plans, disclosing a three-phase timeline: completing internal control optimization and K-IFRS (Korean International Financial Reporting Standards) conversion preparations in 2026; submitting a preliminary listing review application in 2027; and completing the official listing in 2028.
To advance the IPO, Bithumb has initiated multiple reform measures, including introducing an institutional-grade risk management system, proceeding with the spin-off of its subsidiary Bithumb Asset to optimize governance structure, partnering with major domestic and international securities firms and law firms, and expanding investor relations (IR) communication channels.
Bithumb stated that the IPO aims to enhance corporate transparency and investor protection through institutionalized financial standards, thereby boosting overall credibility of Korea's crypto asset industry.
