2027 to support round-the-clock US Treasury settlement, BNY Mellon to launch tokenized Treasury pilot by year-end

Odaily reported that BNY Mellon has announced plans to launch pilot transactions of tokenized US Treasuries on its private blockchain by the end of this year. The bank aims to roll out tokenized US Treasuries by the end of 2026, with the goal of achieving 7×24 settlement for both traditional and tokenized US Treasuries by 2027. Earlier this year, the bank facilitated after-hours US Treasury trades involving stablecoin issuers Ripple and OpenEden.
