2026-07-22 14:18
Odaily reports that Ostium, a perpetual contract DEX on Arbitrum, has announced it will resume trading at 10:00 AM EST on July 23. All open positions and pending orders will be retained as is, re-marked at the real-time market price at the time of recovery, and assessed for liquidation or take-profit/stop-loss triggers. The protocol will gradually restore functionality. Initially, only position-closing, margin top-ups, order modifications or cancellations, and other risk-reducing operations (such as automatic take-profit/stop-loss and liquidation) will be available. New position opening will be enabled only after pending orders are executed. Ostium also announced a pause on new OLP liquidity deposits, with existing LP withdrawals to be processed in the next settlement cycle. It warned users to beware of scam accounts impersonating the official team, noting that the official team will never request private keys or seed phrases. Previously, Ostium, a perpetual contract DEX on Arbitrum, was suspected of being attacked, resulting in losses of approximately $18 million.
